Gulf.O.Flex Insulation Sheet Rolls and Slabs

 

 

DESCRIPTION
 Gulf.O.Flex Sheet Rolls insulation are flexible, elastomeric thermal insulations, black in color. Both are supplied in flat sheet 36" x 48" (0.92m x 1.22m), in popular thicknesses. Gulf.O.Flex insulation sheet rolls is also available in 48" x 360" (1.22m x 9.2m) continuous rolls in 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2". The insulations are furnished with a smooth skin one side or both sides on request, which forms the outer exposed insulation surface. The expanded closed-cell structure of Gulf.O.Flex makes it an efficient insulation. It is manufactured without the use of CFC's, HCFC's or HFC's. It is also formaldehyde free, dust free, fiber free and resists mold and mildew. "Method of Test for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials", Gulf.O.Flex sheet rolls insulations have a flame-spread index of less than 25 and a smoke-developed index of less than 50 less as tested by the third party testing lab. Under the supervision of our R&D department based on Germany consistently provide actual values on these key performance criteria for mechanical system insulation. Thermal conductivity: 0.0338 w/m-k in 40 degrees C. Fire rating: Class O and Class 1 under the specifications of BS 476 Parts 6 & 7.

USES

Gulf.O.Flex is used to retard heat gain and control condensation drip from chilled water and refrigeration systems. It also efficiently reduces heat flow on hot systems. Gulf.O.Flex Sheet Rolls insulations are particularly adaptable for insulating ductwork, large piping and fittings, tanks, and vessels.  Their flexibility allows application to curve and irregular surfaces.  They are adaptable to making all types of fitting cover insulations. The recommended temperature usage range for Gulf.O.Flex sheet rolls insulation is -40 degrees C to +120 degrees C according to method of application. When used for pipe insulation with adhesive adhering seams and joints only, Gulf.O.Flex sheet rolls can be applied to line that will operate to a limit of 120 degrees C.

RESISTANCE TO MOISTURE VAPOUR FLOW

The closed-cell structure of Gulf.O.Flex insulations effectively retards the flow of moisture vapour, and Gulf.O.Flex is considered a low-transmittance vapour retarder. For many applications, Gulf.O.Flex needs no supplementary protection. Additional vapour-retarded protection may be necessary for Gulf.O.Flex when install on very low temperature surfaces or piping or when exposed to continually high humidity conditions.

APPLICATION

Gulf.O.Flex insulation sheet rolls has a factory applied adhesive systems with long term performance. It can be applied to clean, non oily metal surfaces. Remove a portion of the release liner, position sheet, adhere one edge and then just peel and press. Gulf.O.Flex sheet rolls insulations are designed for installation above ground. Indoors, no protective finish is required. Outdoor, a weather-resistant protective finish is to be applied.
